 Happy New Year and welcome to the first of our new Travelport newsletters.  We have taken on board your recent feedback and hope that this new bi-weekly newsletter helps improve the way we keep you up to date with all our news and product updates.

For Travelport, 2014 was an important year and we celebrated some major milestones. Not only did we become a publicly traded company on the NYSE but we also re-branded to better reflect our underlying value proposition of “redefining travel commerce”. It was also very rewarding to know that the travel industry was right behind us endorsing and recognizing our efforts by awarding Travelport some amazing travel industry awards over the past year. A big “Thank you” for all your support and needless to say we intend to continue redefining travel commerce on your behalf.

Travelport are committed to the continual development of our products and services and are pleased to announce that a total of 86 airlines have now signed up to the Rich Content and Branding merchandising solution available in Travelport Smartpoint. We’re pleased that you’ll now find even more low cost carriers (who have followed Ryanair’s lead after Travelport became the first company of its kind to hold Ryanair content) and an impressive range of airline ancillaries directly bookable through Travelport Smartpoint. Check out our very latest additions to ancillary content here.

We are also pleased to have extended our hotel offering recently as big hotel chains Premier Inn and Hilton both signed distribution agreements with us during 2014. Travelport also increased investment in eNett, the pioneering automated electronic payment solution that uses a unique Virtual Account Number (VAN) for each new booking or payment transaction.

As always we also look forward to bringing you more even choice and improved functionality. Look out for the new version of Travelport Smartpoint which marks a step-change in our hotel and car offering and means that agents can grow revenues by searching, selling and booking this travel content more effectively than ever before.
